Lyon School Studio & Gallery

Built in 1868 , this beautiful limestone structure operated as a one room school until 1958.
The building was used for storage and the land was hayed by the owners , until 2003, when Julie Wiegand and Tommy Griesedieck bought the building and property . The couple planned to make it their home and Julie's studio & gallery .
Lyon School has been lovingly restored and artfully designed by them ,  along with stone masons , carpenters, and craftspersons from the region .

Tommy's art and business  is landscaping , and  he has designed and installed the striking  exterior stone work , creative  garden spaces , and facilitated the restoration of the 14 acres of prairie.
Julie focusses on the  design of the interior space , which is now expanding to include more living area , connecting to the studio / gallery .  She is grateful to spend her time painting and  enjoying the natural beauty of this land .

The couple welcomes visitors anytime by appointment , and  wishes to openly share  this wonderful space !
